66 million years ago, Dinosaurs roamed this earth. Now, with the help of Dinosaur Experiences - they're back!
A truly 'roarsome' time! It's the perfect adventure for any dino fan. A rare chance to learn all about these fascinating creatures from the expert rangers, all while getting to see them up close and personal in this interactive experience.
What's Included:
There are plenty of activities to keep the family entertained during your visit. You will need approximately 2 hours to travel on the train and see all the dinosaurs, however, your ticket entitles you to access the event for the whole day (Event opening times 9:30 to 16:30).
- A return diesel train journey (20 minutes either direction, stopping at both stations)
- Dinosaur experiences with the expert Rex Rangers and a selection of large dinosaurs, including the mighty T-Rex and terrifying Triceratops
- Baby dinosaurs for those who feel less brave!
- Bouncy Castles, Miniature Railway Rides, & Small Fairground for smaller children
- Brakevan Rides pulled by a real steam locomotive
- Dinosaur Egg Trail - find all the unhatched baby dinosaurs around the railway and have a chance of winning tickets to one of our future events
Food and drink will be available at Brechin and Bridge of Dun stations including the Whistle Stop Café for lunches, coffee & cakes; BBQ and ice cream, and; buffet at Bridge of Dun.
Please note that following feedback from last year’s event, we have moved the main activities to Brechin to allow easier entrance and departure for visitors who are joining the train at Brechin.

Further Information
Brechin Station is the main venue for the attractions and your day should be planned with the greater part of your stay at this station. Trains can be boarded from either Brechin or Bridge of Dun station.
You must have a valid ticket to enter. Access to the site will not be permitted for any reason without a valid ticket.
Journey Types
All tickets are sold as open returns. Tickets are sold for specific outward trains, however you may return on any train back to your starting station.
Disabled Access
The train features a modified carriage section capable of wheelchair access. Please note that this the only section of the train that is wheelchair accessible.
How long will the train journey be?
Journey times between stations is 20 minutes.
Will the train be hauled by a steam engine?
The brakevan ride at Brechin will be hauled by a real steam locomotive. The main train journey will be hauled by a diesel locomotive.
Parking at Brechin station
We will have car parking available at Brechin. The parking areas will be managed by parking marshalls who will greet you at the entrance to the parking areas.
