Father's Day - Sunday 18th June 2017
Treat your Dad to a Father's Day with a difference!
To celebrate Father’s Day this year, we’ve teamed up with Tay Bus Vintage Vehicle Society and Fettercairn Distillery to bring you a Father’s Day with a difference.
Treat your Dad to a ride on a historic steam hauled train through the picturesque Angus countryside AND a tour around one of Scotland’s oldest malt whisky distilleries.
The day will begin at Brechin station. Boarding the 12.20 service, the journey to Bridge of Dun will take around 20 minutes. Upon arrival, you will be met by a restored vintage bus, operated by Taybus, that will take you up to the distillery. The bus will depart Bridge of Dun at 1pm and will take around 30 minutes to reach the distillery. Once there, you will be given a tour of the facility and offered the chance to sample some of their finest malt Whisky. The tour will take about an hour, with the bus departing at 2.45pm. The bus will arrive at Bridge of Dun at around 3.15pm, allowing you and your party to catch the last train back to Brechin at 3.35pm.
This experience has limited capacity and is only available via advance bookings. Click the button opposite to get tickets now. Please note that although children are allowed on the tour, it may not be suitable for all ages.
Distillery tour not your thing? Don’t worry as our train services will be operating as normal. As an added bonus, let your Dad fulfil his childhood dream by giving him the chance to have a go at driving one of our very own diesel shunter locomotives at Brechin station. No advanced booking necessary!
